How to start... 0.2
So we have all the tools now. Now we need to know how to start our code, and where the hell do we get the code from?
Well, before we can even start coding. You should look at W3Schools - proper tutorials, I'll just point out some basic things.
Before we can begin, you have to know what css looks like and what to pay attention to.
#myID, .myClass, #myID:hover {
font-family: 'Times New Roman';
font-size: 12px;
color:#000000;
}
Red: These are the parameters, where the css goes inside. Also, notice how all definitions end with a semicolon (;)
Purple: Those #'s mean "ID" We'll get to that in a minute.
Blue Gray: These are the names, despiteless if they're ID or Class
Brown: That period before myClass basically means it's a class element
Light Purple: This is a pseudo effect, we'll talk about this later on.
Green: Commas make multiple elements in one parameter
Yellow: CSS Definitions
Black: The variable of the definition.

So Starting off, you can put any css definition in between the parameters and see if it works. But we need to know how to actually start the code so it reads properly.
Now you don't have to start like this, but this is good habit. So all my creations start out like this. <!doctype html> <html lang="en-US"> <head> <style> </style> </head> <body> </body> </html> |
------------- Defines to web browsers that it's an html document ------Start code, reader text is english -------Head is where we put all the "Under the hood stuff" ---------Style is our css configuration -------------Body is where we start laying out the html -------------End of document |
